Rhinoplasty, also known as nose aesthetic surgery, is a procedure performed to reshape the nasal structure and correct any deviation problems if present. The nose can be made smaller or larger, and the proportion between the nose and the upper lip is balanced after the operation.

During rhinoplasty, the surgeon makes incisions to access the bone and cartilage that support the nose. Since these incisions are made inside the nose, they are not visible after the surgery. Depending on the desired result, bone and cartilage can be reshaped or additional tissue can be added. All functional problems inside the nose are also addressed during the procedure.

Rhinoplasty is performed under local anesthesia.

After surgery, a splint is placed on the nose. Patients can return to their daily lives shortly after the procedure. The splint is usually removed within 7–10 days.

It is generally recommended that the procedure be performed after the age of 18.
